I saw a Great Egret today when I was walking at the shore. It was very hot, 80's Santa Ana hot winds blowing. And there on the path was a Great Egret. It's winter, and we often see fascinating birds near the ocean. This seemed a treat. You need to watch the slideshow a minute to get to the egret, then forgive my taking so many shots. I suppose I was hoping for one that captured the moment.
What a lovely place for a walk. Your egret definitely did not seem to be camera shy. Lovely photos!
ReplyDeleteBut there was a definite point when this egret rapidly walked away. In the wind, and there was a hot wind, the bird seemed to want to avoid flight. Several children acting the part of yelling monster's later aggressively went after it and I did see it take flight-long beautiful wings to another part of the dune. I had wondered if perhaps it was hurt.
