Podcasts and other things

I often organize poorly, my thoughts, in writing. Lack editing time.
Teaching and working on papers until ten nightly.

Yesterday I listened, after school, to this interesting interview with Dustin Hoffman on Fresh Air. I'm sure I'm like everyone else, enjoying  catching Gross interviews. But this one I enjoyed as much as Davy Jones' interview. (I did not loll around on Oprah yesterday watching the wash.)

Kids are home, it's 4, I need to bind or grade or plan or staple or collate, or read the teacher manuals, or think through, or clean, or somehow address the curriculum-but my mind needs stimulating. SO if I go to a comedy podcast or interview or something to learn-I enjoy it. We aren't "allowed" streaming at work, and it took downloading this to hear it, but I could, at least yesterday- do that. Which allowed me to pass the time  while doing a lot of organizational tasks that will continue today-and enjoy the thoughts of a very interesting actor-a very interesting interview. He certainly understands his craft. He is someone my daughter claims is exactly like my husband.( she felt after watching All The President's Men)

I enjoy Radiolab, but I'm always open if anyone wants to suggest a program.

Sophia got me listening to one called the Dinner Party. I could do Ted Talks forever too-I had a month where I sought them out all day-before the Winter Break. I do like to listen to the Kahn Academy podcast things. Suggestions?

BTW, commenting on my blog isn't disabled to leave a suggestion-I just chose a glitchy template to make accessing my archives actually tough, to make it harder for a few people to be judgmental-you have to work at it now. And good luck, have fun! I'm sad for my readers, however because this requires reloading my blog UNTIL you see the blog name in a dark RED-then the comments will work. Sometimes that just seems impossible. (I hope listening to Radiolab or Fresh Air is ok with "everybody" -you might try it-The Great Courses also works-I call it "learning something" or "having a life" over hanging at the office boss door or water cooler-makes lunch worth doing too. Early morning it's a great way to warm up the mind-after meditating.)
