So these are the views from my road trip to Monterey today going up the 101 from Oxnard. Interesting to me. My birthday present. About midway you get to the middle of nowhere, Greenfield which is a bit more happening actually. This is where I taught for ten or so years. And had two of my babies. I was a bilingual teacher-transition 4th grade there. It was amazing as we stopped and I photographed the rooms I worked in three portable rooms. And one year in the big building. One thing for sure.... it certainly has been awhile, 13/14 years and I'm older and just moving around here reacquaints me with the passage of time and my body and mind.
My kids are here, I wonder if they recall those days and the things we did, just dim liitle snatches of memory.
We got in late and my picture taking was dulling but tomorrow I'll actually try, these from the car things are awful. Except I drove everyday about two hours commuting when we lived here and I always was in the car looking at some of this. Road, endless road.
Luca has been struggling with night fears and we are having quite a hard time in our cabin. But it is lovely in the woods. And now I'm turning to talk about how I'm here to kick any fear down to the beach with my super mommyness.
