I am a public school teacher, artist, mother and I write from perspectives as all three to things that seem compelling....with a hope it creates community and cross-communication in a busy world and life. I value human connectivity greatly.

I am an artist
I am an artist.
Every child is an
artist. The problem is how to remain an artist once we grow up. Pablo

I think Carl Sagan (don't hold me to that) said something to the same effect about science. Kids in elementary school are fascinated by science. By the time they get to high school they are terrified of it.
Children are universally able to find excitement, success and invention as well as self motivation, reflection, and empowerment in art. Remove the arts and then demand they have these qualities.......seems at cross purpose. I see this in math. I...guess you would be terrified of science, but.....this indicts us in what we think we are here to do, no?
