nutcracker nonsense

One of my morning boxes is a box of nutcrackers. I'm not sure what my students make of this. Not a single one knew about the ballet. Well now they have heard and listened.

Introducing ballet is interesting with young kids. 

They certainly smiled. 

I have a VHS of the Nutcracker ballet done with marionettes that flop around all over-the puppets terrified my own kids years ago. So I guess I can't miss that for my class. 

We drew the Nutcracker today. I totally enjoy these. Art Hub ForKids provided the instructions. It's really great.
